In addition to our staff and building, our curriculum represents an exceptionally effective, time-tested, and enjoyable format within which our students excel academically, mature socially, and learn to love school.
Our primary goals are to create students who love coming to school, believe that they are smart and capable learners, and have fun as the learning process reinforces itself. This exclusive curriculum is based upon the time-honored principles of Maria Montessori’s theories of development.
While we subscribe to the concepts of experiential learning, self-correction in our activities, and student-initiated learning, we also understand the limits of very traditional or “strict” Montessori programs. It would certainly be simpler to apply a formal Montessori program, whose guidelines are well-established and whose activities are formally presented, but as with many “simple” solutions, something is lost.
Our curriculum expands the Montessori theories into the 21st Century with
thoughtful and effective modifications. Our students are encouraged to
socialize and cooperate in the classrooms, unlike the antiquated “seen and not
heard” approach of many Montessori programs. Our rooms are full of color, sound
and light, just like the real world and the classrooms these children will
eventually enter. We include computers in every classroom, along with other
more modern teaching tools which would never be introduced in a strict
Montessori. We also have our own exclusive assessment program which allows us
to intimately track the progress of each student along the course of his
development. This comprehensive assessment is used to predict kindergarten
readiness as early as 2 ½ years old, and affords parents a fantastic opportunity
to quantify their child’s progress. We take our role as educators of young
children incredibly seriously, so that the children may just have fun while they
learn in our specialized program.
Our program seeks to capitalize upon the time we have with our students to
increase socialization skills, and academic readiness for school. The
curriculum has been thoughtfully developed by the founder of our school to
accelerate our students’ development while making learning a fun and
self-reinforcing project. Our physical space was designed with all of the
latest in supervisory technology, as well as durable, contemporary materials,
with the curriculum requirements in mind. No other program is as supremely
staffed, and effectively managed for the welfare of our students, and no other
facility can match our building.
We are proud of our school and the
wonderful students whom we enjoy teaching every day. We are sure that no other
program can compare to our level of interest and expertise in educating young
students.
